Round 2 of the sprint

We have a Leg Up on the competition

Welcome to Week 16

This intro will be short and sweet, as I got a bit behind schedule this week trying to finish a multitude of things before the world shuts down for the holidays.

First I want to say I truly feel the love heading into the holiday season and my heart is full beyond measure from this fantasy football niche world I am living in. This year has been incredible and I appreciate all of the support from all y’all, it is truly amazing. I am incredibly lucky to have crossed paths with the Ship Chasing guys, and cannot wait to run it back again next year (fingers crossed).

Which brings me to another announcement (in case you don’t follow me on twitter), I am going to bring all of my waiver content (and more) over to Pat Kerrane’s site, Legendary Upside. Pat Kerrane is a person in the industry who I have admired for a long time, if for some reason you live under a rock and are unfamiliar with his work go listen to any of his content and it is evident he is one of the smartest, sharpest, and most passionate guys in the industry. I mean we know the man is dedicated, his first instinct after winning 2 million dollars was to start his own fantasy site instead of riding off into the sunset.

On a serious note I could not have asked for a better opportunity and am excited to help grow this platform with new content, because as amazing as Pat is, one person can only do so much. Pat has also been working ridiculously hard on playoff best ball content and a really cool dynamic rankings tool with Sackreligious (a certified genius or possible human computer), if you have ever considered playing play off best ball please check out his work up on the site. Both these gentlemen have a gift of not only sharing their vast knowledge, but presenting/teaching things in a way that is easy for the vast majority of people to understand and implement as well.

A Look at Week 15

The first week of the Sprint is behind us and I must say the majority of our teams are cooking with serious gas!

Week 15 Standings

NFFC Prime Time

Buckeye Boomers 137th Place 283.02 pts

The Boomers had a bit of a slow start to the race and I blame Arthur Smith… how does Tyler Allgeier have double the amount of rush attempts as Bijan Robinson?!!! The Jets were also an embarrassment (what’s new) as Breece Hall was also a huge bust this week. I don’t know if we can bet on either of these situations to improve but we have to keep the faith they can do enough. Things are looking more optimistic for the rookie wide receivers and tight ends on the team starring Sam LaPorta.

Waiver Chasing 203rd Place 263.97 pts

My prime time team also had one of its worst performances of the year after a season high the week prior to get us into the race. I know a common player on both these teams who underperformed will shock you… Breece Hall. We take it a step further by also rostering Garrett Wilson, both players had a combined 8.7 pts. Travis Kelce was another huge disappointment that I hoped would have a big game for his girl Tay Tay’s bday, but Kelce DGAF. We also have some ascending rookie talent in JSN and Jahmyr Gibbs, but need the Jets and Kelce to step up big these next two week for a legitimate chance.

NFFC Super 12 Team

Shark Jumping 1st Place 343.86 pts

The Shark Jumping team is absolutely filthy featuring CMC, Gibbs, Chandler, and LaPorta (we left Kenneth Walker on the bench here too)! This team is only competing against 3 others in the sprint for a cool 14k at the top and has a 70.32 pt lead over second place. I feel really optimistic about this team bringing home the big one… Thanks Leone.

NFFC Silver Bullet

Ship Chasing Single Bullet 7th Place 319.29 pts

This is a single entry high stakes and extremely top heavy contest, and we were shook to see this team screaming up the leader board. James Cook, Cooper Kupp, and Chris Godwin picked a hell of a time for break out performances, and the boys need these guys and more to hold on if Keenan Allen and Nico Collins remain sidelined.

FFPC Main Event

Chasin’ Go Bills 29th Place 335.57pts

We don’t need no damn QBs is the anthem of the team that put up 186.30 pts in week 15 with no quarterbacks! That’s what happens when you start Mostert, James Cook, Jaylen Waddle, Cooper Kupp, Sun God, and Isaiah Likely. Unfortunately, it is sounding like CJ Stroud likely misses another game, but we could get Keenan Allen back… I am praying for another miracle to give this team a shot at the million dollar prize.

SC (Mini Episodes) 63rd Place 325.88 pts

This was another Mostert / James Cook team and was forced to start Tua against the Jets without Tyreek Hill or risk taking a zero at QB if Geno Smith didn’t play (which he did not). This team could have had a huge week, but several of stud wide receivers bottomed out including Ceedee Lamb, and Brandon Aiyuk. This week we are positioned to do some damage and I have a feeling the best is yet to come.

Five Horsemen 636th Place 262.08 pts

Stop me if Im repeating myself but once again I blame Arthur Smith and the Jets. Yes, this team combined the full nightmare of Bijan Robinson, Garrett Wilson and Breece Hall. Even MVP hopeful Big Rock Brock (sorry Tyler I’m not saying it here) and rookie phenom Sam LaPorta could not save them this week. I am praying for some bounce back performances here.

StephWuGee 156th Place 307.04 pts

We came in as underdogs and had a solid week, close to spectacular if we had played Jordan Addison instead of DeVonta Smith. Honestly, our decision was mostly between Jakobi Meyers and Addison, possibly Ken Walker. Our team has been hitting its stride late season and I am thankful for David Njoku breakout over past two weeks. We are also looking to get Keenan Allen and Nico Collins back and have some nice contrarian pieces. There is a chance the underdogs make a Sun run with Sun God.

Scott Fish Bowl 13

Stephmiller40 14th Place 120.23 avg. pts

Another week another win as I move back up the leaderboard heading into the semi finals, there are only 250 remaining teams. I am playing this one for the clout and bragging rights and to show that girls can kick ass too. The number one reason Scott Fish hosts this amazing contest full of fantasy content creators, actors, athletes, and fantasy players alike is of course to raise money for charity and put some good out into the world. Please consider donating to fantasycares.org/donate.php which raises money for Toys for Tots to help children all over the world have a happy holiday season.

I wish all of you a happy and healthy holiday season full of blessings, cheer, and fantasy football wins!
